What is a Parlay Bet?

Explaining different kinds of bets we offer

A Parlay Bet (also known as multi-bet) is a type of bet in which all selected outcomes (odds) are multiplied by each other and multiplied by the stake. If at least one of the bets in the parlay loses, the entire bet loses. You can refer to the examples below which illustrate how a parlay bet works:

In this example, the client has placed a parlay bet of 100BRL on the following:

Bet#

Event

Odds

Outcome

1

Manchester United v Liverpool (Manchester United to win)

2.5

Won

2

Bayern Munich v Dortmund (Total Goals Scored Over 3.5)

3.7

Won

3

Real Madrid v Barcelona (Total Yellow Cards Over 2.5)

2.8

Won

4

Arsenal v Tottenham (Arsenal To Qualify)

2.2

Won

5

Manchester City v Chelsea (Bet on a Draw)

4.2

Won

In the example above, the client won all bets and their payout amount would be calculated as follows: 100BRL X 2.5 X 3.7 X 2.8 X 2.2 X 4.2 = 23.931.60 BRL

If at least one of the bets in the Parlay loses, however, the entire bet loses. See, for instance, the example below, where one of the outcomes was a loss:

Outcome

1

Manchester United v Liverpool (Manchester United to Win)

2.5

Won

2

Bayern Munich v Dortmund (Total Goals Scored Over 3.5)

3.7

Lost

3

Real Madrid v Barcelona (Total Yellow Cards Over 2.5)

2.8

Won

4

Arsenal v Tottenham (Arsenal To Qualify)

2.2

Won

5

Manchester City v Chelsea (Bet on a Draw)

4.2

Won

In the example above, bet number 2 was settled as a loss. Because of this, the payout amount will be of 0 BRL.

Let's do a final example, using a refunded bet within a parlay:

Bet#

Event

Odds

Outcome

1

Manchester United v Liverpool (Manchester United to Win)

2.5

Won

2

Bayern Munich v Dortmund (Total Goals Scored Over 3.5)

3.7

Refunded

3

Real Madrid v Barcelona (Total Yellow Cards Over 2.5)

2.8

Won

4

Arsenal v Tottenham (Arsenal To Qualify)

2.2

Won

5

Manchester City v Chelsea (Bet on a Draw)

4.2

Won

Note here that bet number 2 within the parlay bet was treated as a refund. Because of this, that specific odds will be treated as if it had odds of 1. The payout amount for the Parlay would be calculated as follows 100BRL X 2.5 X 1 X 2.8 X 2.2 X 4.2 = 6.468 BRL
